Best of 2018 | weddings and elopements
Welcome to my Best of 2018!
Wow. Wow. Wow. What a year 2018 has been! I truly love what I do and the amazing moments that I get to share with so many wonderful couples. It is such a privilege to be able to capture these special moments in time so that people can relive them over and over again.
This year started with the most amazing, intimate elopement of Zoe and Adam in a cracking location in the Southern Highlands. I’m not going to lie, I’m feeling pretty chuffed to say that this was featured by The Southern Highland’s E-mag and blog Loved Up and Local. And the year finished with a banger of a NYE wedding with Pip and Tom.
This year certainly had me shooting in some next-level places. From the University of Sydney to the rolling green hills of Bega, the variety of locations in 2018 was brilliant. I was lucky enough to revisit some beautiful venues and explore some new ones too. Even though I love my local spots, I really enjoy shooting in new places! Here are some of the places I went to:
- The Fitzroy Inn, Mittagong
- Towradgi Surf Club, Wollongong
- Horizons Golf Resort, Nelson Bay
- A beautiful farm in Bega
- The University of Sydney
- Kullindi Homestead, Booderee National Park
- Seacliff House, Gerringong
- Mountain Ridge Wines, Coolangatta
- Collaroy, Sydney
- Soul of Gerringong
I want to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful couples who entrusted me with the responsibility and privilege of capturing their day. You all made my year! And without you, I wouldn’t get to explore this part of my business that I feel so passionate about – authentic and meaningful unions. You all invited me in as your photographer and had me leaving as your friend. For that, I am so grateful.
It is a cornerstone value of mine to establish a genuine trust in each professional relationship that I make, and I feel proud that this trust was felt by all of my couples in 2018. It’s a humbling gig being a photographer, and your encouraging feedback has been really valuable to me. There is nothing more satisfying than a happy couple and an album of special memories.
Needless to say, I’m super excited for 2019! Well, I said it anyway… I honestly can’t wait to make new friends, discover new locations and capture more breathtaking moments. I have a really good feeling about this year.
So, without further ado, here it is! This is my Best Of 2018 slideshow! As you can see by the length of the video, it was super hard to choose just a few. The ‘favourites’ list quickly got out of hand 😉
Enjoy, thank you and happy new year!
