Relaxed Wollongong Wedding | Alisa + Nic

What a pleasure it was to shoot the sincere, intimate and relaxed Wollongong wedding of Alisa and Nic.

While Alisa and Nic were actually married 7 years ago in Connecticut, USA, this lovely couple understandably wanted to officially celebrate their love on home turf with their closest family and friends this year now that the same-sex marriage laws had (finally) changed.

And celebrate they did. On Saturday 24th March, Alisa, Nic, their two gorgeous girls Artie and Mae together with their tribe laughed the night away over a Mexican Fiesta on the grounds of Towradgi Surf Club. It was sooo much fun.

Their day was planned with simple, key components in mind; love, people that you love and good food. Spot on if you ask me.

When it came to photos, what was important to Alisa and Nic was being able to capture a few really beautiful images of themselves with their daughters. It was clear that family was most important to them, and I love that. So before everyone came down to the Surf Club we were able to do just that. The five of us strolled down to the sea pool and had a great time.

What stood out most to me at this celebration was that a wedding doesn’t have to have all the bells and whistles to be great. What made it the fantastic time that it certainly was, was the honesty, the love, the people and the laughter. An unbeatable recipe and one I will slip into my back pocket and take with me from here on out

So, thank you Alisa and Nic, for teaching me something really special and allowing me to be a part of your wonderful day. #loveislove
