Meet Mabel – a cute little vintage caravan bar which will trundle along and set up at your chosen venue, and add the perfect bit of atmosphere and style to your wedding.
Tell us about Meet Mabel in a nutshell
We bring the showpiece to your event – ‘Mabel’, a 1950’s vintage caravan bar! We arrive on site with bar staff who are professional and friendly, and we aim to make your day perfect. Mabel is a BYO – we serve beverages you have supplied to us, which means you can choose the exact drinks you want and pay no markup – a big saving when it comes to a wedding! We are here to take care of all your needs and let you relax and enjoy the event.
How long have you been doing this for?
I have been in the events industry for 12 years doing a range of events including, weddings, conferences, fashion weeks, triathlons and kids parties. So I decided to start Meet Mabel and I am so excited for this venture!
What do you like best about the South Coast?
I love the people, the relaxed coastal lifestyle, the beaches, and the fact we are so close to Sydney. Bringing up a family down here is just awesome
What do you enjoy most about the weddings?
I get a real buzz out of it. I love the fact we are a part of someone’s special day and that we provide such a wonderful experience for them to remember. This drives me to make it perfect and fun! So what couldn’t you love about being part of that experience?
What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen happen at a wedding?
Whilst at a wedding years ago, the young girl I was working with took the wedding cake out the back and she cut it all up but the bride and groom hadn’t cut the cake yet!
Do you have an ideal client that you’d love to work with?
Your ideal client loves you, and you love them and they are happy to tell everyone how great you are (great for referrals). They are a dream to work with, but not because they just say yes, but because you click. You are right for them, they are right for you and because you know their style and speak their language, they are easier for you to find and market to.
My recent client Johanna was a dream to work with – her wedding was at Willow Farm, Berry. She appreciated everything we did and she was so grateful and kind. Her family were all the same as well on the day which made for a perfect client!
Do you get involved in more than just the wedding day itself?
Certainly! We can do bucks, hens, the day after the wedding… We love a party and can help you out wherever we can!
Are there any other wedding vendors you work closely with and highly recommend?
I have worked closely with Willow Farm, Terrara Riverside Gardens and Seacliff House – all have been amazing. I also highly recommend Garnish Catering, Rabbit & Co caterers, Kate Corless Flowers, Jon Harris Photography, South Coast Party Hire and Hoorah Events.

Weddings are pretty seasonal… are there any promotions or better value you can offer couples in the off-peak season?
Weddings are very seasonal however we have a range of events that we cater for that last all year round! Birthdays, promotional shoots, baby showers, kids parties, christenings… You name it we want to be a part of it!
