Wollongong wedding photographers | Haji + Nori

The joy of being a wedding photographer is that you can roam around to all the beautiful places people choose to get married in. So even though I live in Gerringong, it’s close enough to Wollongong for me to be considered one of the Wollongong wedding photographers.

Haji and Nori chose North Wollongong for their wedding, and I couldn’t have been happier. I lived in North Wollongong for 5 years while at Uni (studying Mechanical Engineering of all things!). I have many fond memories of the Gong, and a few of them don’t even involve alcohol!

North Beach is a great spot, and if you venture up to the Lagoon Restaurant, you’ll find some amazingly huge pine trees hugging the shore. The lagoon meets the ocean here and it’s a stunning spot. Thanks to the fabulous efforts of The Wedding & Event Creators (read more about them here), the day went off without a hitch.

Haji and Nori chose simple yet incredibly elegant decorations for their wedding, which greatly emphasised a few really special pieces. Each place setting received an amazingly intricate origami nametag holder, crafted by Haji herself. Can you tell that she is an artist???Gerringong’s own Elka’s Garden supplied the beautiful flower arrangements.

It’s always very touching to see a nervous groom as they await their bride. It’s also very cute seeing the bride’s first expression as she spies her new husband . Seeing moments like this absolutely makes my day. So I can’t even imagine how happy Haji and Nori must have felt!

Despite the little bit of rain threatening to spoil the day, the sun broke through just after the ceremony. We all spent a wonderful afternoon on the lawn overlooking the lagoon and the beach. We didn’t have to go far at all to take some beautiful photos of the new husband and wife.

What was my favourite part of the day? Probably Haji’s radiant elegance. The embroidery on her gown and the delicate necklace were just gorgeous! And I LOVED Nori’s outrageously awesome flares and shoes!

Haji and Nori, I wish you both all the best for your future together!
